Here are some gang related links. Of course, I do not mean to glamorize and do not condone the gang's messages, nation's beliefs, or rapper's homepages posted here. But I think you may find it interesting to see what they are doing, how they are organized, the messages they are sending to our young people, and how they think. Even more important is, "What to do about them?" Parents must know where their children are. Get the phone number of other parents. Kids may not like it, but, check up on them to see if they are really going to where they say they are going. Get them involved in school. We must not forget our spiritual and moral values. We must all work together to combat the problem. Most in law enforcement, have found that understanding and studying these groups' activities greatly increases stability in society. We all must steer kids towards legitimate goals and personal growth opportunities and lead by example!

Many children get allowance from their parents and spend that money on clothes, CD's, videos and other entertainment. They are influenced by the bombardment of stimulation that is going on all around them. It is only natural for many teens to rebel against their parents as they go through their "storming years" and find their own values. Have you read the lyrics on the inside of the CD they are listening to? Do you monitor their time and what websites they are viewing on your home computer? Talk to your kids and find out what they are doing and who they associate with! Soon they will be adults and have the "free will in our free society" to do whatever they decide. Hopefully they will grow up to make wise decisions for themselves and realize that they will be held accountable for the way they live their life and for their behavior. Of course, they will mistakes along the way, but they need to know there are choices and consequences. Remember, we must guide them and meet the kid's needs or the gangs will!
